Eleven birds were sitting on bow of Seattle Shellfish houseboat when 2 shellfish workers from a small boat that approached came on board. They flew away from the boat only when the men came up to the bow. Those in the water flew around in circles and landed farther out. Some returned to the area at 8:35, but none returned to the boat.

Birds showed interest in burrows. Lots of water play and synchronized diving.
