At 8:26 we saw a PIGU fly out from the bank in the vicinity of 2 burrows from last year - did not see it soon enough to identify which one, but it was not burrow #1 referenced above. A Bald eagle and a red-tailed hawk were in the vicinity, no disturbance noted. Birds were constantly moving between NBB and SBB during our survey,

A bald eagle flew over before the start of the survey and sent the birds scattering. After 10-15 minutes they had come back, including a bird who had a gunnel in its beak the whole time. There is an eagle nest nearby. and we often see eagles - this is the first time we have seen one disturb the birds, and it was just flying off it's perch - not towards the PIGUs.
More than once, a large group of PIGU suddenly flew or swam out further in the water. We could not detect the disturbance. We did see seals in the area, and possibly otters, but no sudden movement on their parts at the time of the PIGU reaction.
PIGU with gunnel present at NBB during most of the survey. Made a couple of flights toward the cliff - out of our view, but always returned still holding the fish. Eagle disturbance at NBB caused this bird to disappear for a few minutes, but it reappeared shortly.
